ANNOUNCEMENTS
The following announcements are for our TAI CHI KIDS.
BELT TESTS:
Belt Tests are held at the END OF EACH SEMESTER.
Last couple weeks of April +
1st 3 weeks of May
Students can retest before Graduation IF schedule permits AND student can correct / improve errors before Graduation. Otherwise: Student can restest, when convenient for the Shifu, within 30 days at no extra charge.
Students who do not pass a Belt Test can RETAKE the same class again. They just won't receive a Sash Stripe + Certificate.
Note: Failure to pass a Belt Test may prevent the student from attending advanced classes or special programs.

Parade in Los Angeles Chinatown is held the first weekend following the full moon in January. We could watch the parade -- OR WE CAN MARCH IN THE PARADE.

Usually held at Crescenta Valley Park on the last Saturday of April, the Tai Chi Kids could perform!

Push Hands and TournamentTwo or three Push Hands seminars precede the SCM & TCY PUSH HANDS CHAMPIONSHIP
The winners of the previous SUMMER PUSH TOURNAMENT compete last for the main prizes. Saturdays

November Push Hands Seminar 1st Saturday in November is the last chance for students to qualify for the upcoming ANNUAL TOURNAMENT.
Students and martial artists from other schools MUST attend at least one Push Hands seminar before being allowed to compete in our Push Hands events.

Judging SeminarSeveral Judging Seminars are held each year to establish our Shaolin Chi Mantis tournament rules, and prepare for a tournament the following weekend Some students may be allowed to BELT TEST at this Judging seminar or compete for fun and practice. Saturday

November SCM & TCY ANNUAL CHINESE GONGFU & TAIJIQUAN TOURNAMENT
This is our MAIN TOURNAMENT of the year.
The focus of this tournament is on FORMS COMPETITION. Open-hand Forms or Chinese Weapons Forms can be performed in these competitions.
Many students utilize this tournament for their Belt Rank requirements that specify tournament competitions.
Although we want our students to compete in other school's tournaments, we'd like to see ALL OUR STUDENTS HERE for our biggest event of the year.
Come show your support and wear a Chinese uniform.

Sometimes this event falls on Master Zhen's birthday, 2/4/1954. After the Ceremony we usually go out to dinner and then to another event to watch Kung Fu videos or... 1st Saturday in February
